Independent organisational advice for nonprofits

Make space to think about what comes next.

Measure Twice gives nonprofit CEOs and boards additional capacity to step outside the day-to-day, look across the organisation and work out what deserves attention next.

What actually happens
01We start with what you already know+

We send a short Discovery Pack setting out the existing information we'd like to review. No new material needs to be created.

02We speak separately with the CEO and Chair+

Two leadership perspectives on where the organisation is going, what works, what feels difficult and the questions the Diagnostic should help answer.

03We hear from the wider organisation+

A confidential organisation-wide staff survey gives everyone an opportunity to contribute, not only senior leadership.

04We follow the evidence+

We select up to five staff for confidential interviews to explore the experiences, questions and patterns emerging from the evidence.

05We bring it together+

We analyse the numbers, documents, leadership perspectives, survey and interviews — looking for recurring themes, differences, connections and significance.

06You receive the Diagnostic+

A concise written report sets out the key findings, evidence, interpretation and prioritised recommendations.

07We work through it with you+

A 90-minute findings discussion gives you space to challenge, add context and disagree, followed by up to two hours of consultation during the following month.

What's Different

A different kind of consultancy model.

Small nonprofits shouldn't have to choose between a substantial consultancy exercise they can't afford and a lightweight review that tells them what they already know.

01 · Technology

Technology should make good advice more accessible.

AI and analytical tools help process and structure information across an engagement, reducing time spent on mechanical work.

The technology helps process the evidence. It doesn't make the recommendation.
Working notes and analysis
02 · Challenge

We try to prove ourselves wrong.

We deliberately look for evidence that doesn't fit. Differences between the numbers, leadership views and staff experience are investigated rather than averaged away.

If new evidence changes our view, we change our view.

03 · Incentives

There isn't another project waiting at the end.

Sometimes further work is useful. Sometimes your existing team can do it. Sometimes you need a specialist.

And sometimes the right answer is simply: leave it alone. It's working.
